Located at 5021 CA-140, Mariposa, CA 95338, this charming eatery has garnered attention for its homemade noodles and rich, flavorful broths that transport your taste buds straight to Japan.
The authenticity of the dishes at Little Shop of Ramen is a major highlight. With rave reviews from satisfied customers, it's clear that this shop prioritizes quality. Customers have praised the house-made noodles and the carefully crafted broths, making each bowl a satisfying experience. For example, Paul Delys enthusiastically declares the shop-made noodles and broth as “perfect,” and his enthusiasm for the marinated egg suggests a level of detail and care that diners can expect here.
Besides traditional ramen offerings, the restaurant also offers unique takes on classic flavors. The Coconut Curry Ramen, lauded by Troy Windhorst, stands out for its curry-spiced broth, providing a lighter, yet richly satisfying alternative to conventional ramen. The balance of flavors, notably with the well-seasoned pulled chicken, has captivated the hearts (and palates) of many diners.
For those seeking something extraordinary, Krystsina highlights the yellow curry ramen as a unique taste adventure, best enjoyed on a crisp day from their lovely outdoor patio. This ambiance elevates the dining experience, creating an inviting setting to savor each spoonful.
For those who believe that a great meal should also come with a touch of sweetness, customers like Joyce Navarro have sung praises for the delightful dessert offerings. It seems that the cheesecake is a must-try, providing a perfect ending to your ramen feast.
Moreover, if you’re a fan of beverages that complement your meal, the shop’s selection of Japanese beers and local Sierra area wines adds an extra layer of charm, making it a fun stop for dining and wine tasting alike, as noted by Maria Beelen.

“ Simply fantastic! The shop-made noodles and broth were perfect. I asked for very spicy - and it was! The marinated egg was the icing on top! They have a good selection of Japanese beer as well as Sierra area wines. I'll be stopping by again on my next Yosemite trip. I don't usually take pictures of meals, so here's my partially consumed bowl. ”
“ Trifecta! The food, service and atmosphere were all perfect. Our server was super friendly—she was the best! The Coconut Curry Ramen was super. With a curry-spiced broth rather than a heavy cream sauce, this was a lighter way to enjoy curry flavors. The pulled chicken was seasoned well. In addition, my party included a noddle-snob who appreciated the house-made noodles (he can always tell the difference!). In the end, this is a really cool dive dishing out the flavor. ”
“ Great ramen place near Yosemite park. The yellow curry ramen is a unique blend of flavors, the local wine is great, nice service. The outdoor patio creates a perfect atmosphere to enjoy a bowl of hot ramen on a chilly day. ”
“ I was debating between 4 and 5 stars. It's not the best food ever but it is an unexpected delight. I live in a foodie town (where you can find a lot of cuisines top tier at acceptable prices) that I was intrigued and reluctant to try this place. But im glad i tried it. Their menu is small but some of the good ramen places do have small menu. Get extra meat/toppings. Im used to bigger meat toppings. I like the pork chashu - i wished i ordered 2 extra orders. It's not the best (again i do have the really good food options around me at home) - but it's good enough to make me happy. Their cheesecake is a delight (id go back for it if they served that back home). Glad the server recommended it. Great ambiance. This is where they shine. Food did take longer to get to us but we walked in almost closing time where they apologized and admitted to being short-staffed in the kitchen. I gave it 5-stars so i do recommend the place. Better than what I expect in this remote and small town. I already took a few bites before taking a pic. But it did look nice when it was first served. We went mid - there is a parking area behind the restaurant. We found the parkibg easy for a late night meal. ”
“ A M A Z I N G super casual environment, and outstanding food. I absolutely loved the coconut curry ramen. I was not expecting to find such outstanding food in a small town, but this ramen place knocked it out of the park. Wine tasting was super fun as well, such an odd pair to have in the same building but we had so much fun. We had so much fun and loved the food so much the first time, we went a second on our three day trip. Prices are super reasonable! ”
“ First time coming to the Little Shop of Ramen and it’s now our new favorite place for ramen in the mountains. Delicious food, great friendly service, I highly recommended it. ”
“ Nice place, Great ramen, I ordered shoyu ramen and if you want it spicy you can ordered for a couple of dollars, Taste very good! ”
“ My son and I have always wanted to hit up a Ramen place and this one was amazing! The woman helping us was super nice and service was super fast. The food was very delicious and my only tiny complaint is that the noodles themselves seemed hard and not at all springy. But since I've only ever had Ramen of the Top variety, this could just be my uncultured side showing. The broth was very flavorful and the added chili oil was so good! Plus the yolk on the soft boiled egg was amazing! ”
